How Different Are Concentra From LabCorp?
Concentra and LabCorp, along with all the other testing companies you will have heard of in the USA, are all pretty similar.
They really have to be. If they don’t have very similar standards, cut-off levels, and processes, then they could be open to legal action from people who fail who would pass at another company. This
In truth, it doesn’t really matter which company does your drug test, the processes are so similar, the analysis of the sample and the validity checks done on it so similar, that every outcome will be identical.
What Happens During A Concentra Urine Drug Test?
Going to your Concentra drug test is pretty straightforward. Let’s talk you through what happens when you are submitting a urine sample.
- When you go in, you may be searched, but not every time. It will depend on the venue, the person you see, the style of test (digital eCup testing often doesn’t have any human interaction), and any suspicion aroused.
- At the most, they might pat you down, look in your bag, make you take off your coat, stuff like that. They can’t touch you intimately and can’t get you to strip clothes off other than outer clothes, which is a crucial point.
- You’ll also complete some paperwork to complete and will have to show them some ID to prove who you are.
- Then, you’ll be given a sample cup, which will have a temperature strip on the side, and you’ll be told to go behind a screen, or more often even into a separate cubicle room, to urinate into the cup.
- You’ll then come out and hand it over. Within two minutes of you urinating they have to test the sample temperature, and it has to be at a temperature of between 90°F and 100°F to be legal.
How To Check Concentra Drug Test Results
Once you’ve given them your sample and gone home, you might be wondering how you check Concentra drug test results so you know if you have passed or failed.
The thing is, the drug test results will only be made available to the person who paid for the test. Obviously, this is usually a company, doctor or health service, or probation service. So you will hear from the person who commissioned the test. You won’t get the results yourself ordinarily, and you won’t hear from Concentra directly either usually.
Also, remember that because Concentra is telling the person who paid for the test, then you don’t know how long it will take for you to be told.
Ordinarily, drug test results come back to the person commissioning the test in 24 – 48 hours. But it could be days before the employer, or whoever contacts you.
Types Of Testing (Does Concentra Watch You Pee For Drug Test?)
These are the three types of drug test you could face:
- Unsupervised drug test – most drug tests are unsupervised. This means you will be out of sight when you submit your sample, and usually in a completely different room with the door closed.
- Supervised drug test – this is where someone will be in the room with you as a deterrent, but not observing you directly.
- Observed drug test – this is where you would be directly looked at. The answer to the question around whether Concentra what you pee for drug tests is yes, but only if you are told you will be having a fully supervised/observed test – and these are rare.
Overhelmingly, and unless you are told otherwise, it will be an unsupervised drug test. They won’t observe you urinate; they can’t touch you intimately when they search you, and it’s a cinch to beat that system if you know how.
How To Pass A Concentra Drug Test
Learning how to pass a Concentra drug test is no different to passing one for any other drug testing company.
Let’s be clear, all use the same validity checks, same standards for urine temperature, and almost identical analysis equipment and cut-off levels.

When you submit your urine sample, it goes through the following steps:
- Within two minutes its temperature is taken
- Basic validity checks establish if it’s genuine
- The immunoassay (panel drug test) is completed
